The AMAG multiNODE-2 range of database units (DBUs), controllers and option modules provides a robust, cost-effective set of access control building blocks. When used together with AMAG access control and security management software, they can be arranged in an infinite variety of combinations to accommodate the security needs of any small to mid-size organization.

The AMAG multiNODE-2 range of controllers and modules includes: 

MDU-2
Direct connection for 2-readers and doors. Expandable to a maximum of 8 when connected to the low-cost 2-DC door controller.

MDU-4
Direct connection for 4-readers and doors. Expandable to a maximum of 8 when connected to the low-cost 2-DC door controller.

2-DC
Low-cost controller that extends the reader and door capability of the MDU-2 and MDU-4 to the maximum of 8 readers. Interfaces directly with readers and provides all door control input and outputs.

Option Modules
Optional modules plug onto the main board within the MDU and 2-DC units.

Input/Output Modules
Integrates alarms monitoring and programmable output switching into any MDU
or 2-DC. Provides 8 monitor point inputs and 4 auxilliary relay outputs. A fully configured (8-reader) MultiNODE-2 can have 32 inputs and 16 outputs.

RS232 Module
Connects the computer to the first MDU in the chain and allows direct connection to a modem in dial-up applications. Also used in LAN chain configurations.
