The AMAG multiNODE-2100 (M2100) 16-reader controller provides distributed intelligence processing for access control and alarms monitoring applications. The combination of AMAG M2100 controllers and AMAG´s Professional, Enterprise, Global or SEIWG access control software provides an extremely cost-effective and powerful integrated access control and security management solution for applications up to 16 readers and 250,000 cardholders per controller. 
 
The AMAG M2100 controller supports hardwired connections via a PC port or can be configured to communicate over a network using TCP/IP protocol. The AMAG M2100 also supports dial-up modem reporting for installations with remote sites requiring centralized administration. 
 
 
A biometrics version of the AMAG M2100, called an AMAG HGU (flashable from standard M2100), is capable of locally storing and authenticating up to 125,000 biometric (hand geometry) templates. This capability allows the design of pure biometric physical access control systems that do not require access control cards to support template verification. Additionally, the separate wiring, hardware, installation, data entry and training costs typically required when installing a biometric access control system are reduced or completely eliminated. 
 
AMAG M2100 controllers, including the AMAG 2100 HGU version, are fully intelligent and able to make authentication and access decisions locally without PC connectivity. Elevator control capabilities are also available as an optional enhancement to the AMAG M2100 controller.
